The TWP team are delighted to be at this year's Caithness Science Festival to talk about the science behind our Ayre Offshore Wind Farm.

To enter our competiton: you can draw a sea monster, a robot repairer for wind turbines, or a wind turbine of the future!

  • Sea Monster: Is it scary or nice? How many heads? How many toes? Any special powers? (Photo by engin akyurt on Unsplash)
  • Robot: Could a robot help to look after an offshore wind turbine (maybe cleaning foundations underwater? Fixing cracks on blades? Or checking the tower and blades for damage? Will it climb or will it swim?  Will it has arms or even laser powers? (This photo is courtesy of BladeBUG Ltd and this is a real blade inspection and repair robot - see www.bladebug.com)
  • Wind Turbine of the Future: Could you suggest a different shape? Or made of different materials? Could we make them look more interesting? (Photo by Photo by Andras Kovacs on Unsplash)
